Beginner class for dogs four months and over, instruction will include coming when called, basic household manners, walking without pulling you, and problem-solving (not including aggression). Seven week session.

The Wolverine Dog Training Club was established in 1956 by a group of individuals who shared a common interest in dog training.  Today, our membership has grown from a small group to over 30 active members.

The Club, led by its officers who are elected yearly by the membership, holds monthly membership (business) meetings, and supports several activities throughout the year. The WDTC is dedicated to promote and further interest the public in the obedience training of dogs -- whether for pet, companionship or for show purposes. The WDTC holds several events throughout the year that bring dog lovers together to share in some fun.

Each year, the WDTC holds two United Kennel Club (UKC) Obedience Trials held in the Metropolitan Detroit area. In July, club members participate in a dog awareness and canine safety day at a local shopping mall to promote the versatility of dogs by giving obedience and agility demonstrations. During the academic school year, members also visit a local school promoting exciting dog activities among young students. WDTC also supports various non-profit animal organizations like Paws With A Cause, Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Morris Animal Foundation by donating proceeds from raffles and the "brag jar". An annual awards banquet is held in the spring to share our accomplishments with fellow club members.

The Wolverine Dog Training Club members are dedicated to make our club the best dog training club around. Our ability to provide a learning environment and total enjoyment for both dogs and their owners is evident in the success stories of those who have trained with us.
